Marty Sikes

Martin Evan "Marty" Sikes, 66, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011 in Wichita Falls. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Marty was born on September 13, 1944 in Jacksboro to the late Harry Edward and Sara Rebecca (Elkins) Sikes. He was a graduate of Jacksboro High School and Texas Tech University. He was a rancher and a longtime resident of Possum Kingdom Lake. He served 2 terms on Palo Pinto County Appraisal Review Board and with the USDA Farm Service Agency. Family and friends will remember Marty's great enjoyment of preparing and serving meals.

Marty is survived by the love of his life and best friend, Marsha Sloan of Graham; daughter, Ashley Sikes of Houston; brothers, Bob Sikes and wife, Becky of Bowie and Nick Sikes and wife, Marji of Georgetown.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Sikes.
