Mary Botkin

Mary Louise Botkin, 96, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 in Graham. Funeral is scheduled Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Mary was born May 17, 1918 in the Tonk Valley community in Young County to the late William Robert and Ola Sue (Rogers) McClanahan. She married Clifford Botkin, April 6, 1941 in Graham. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1981. Mary was a former employee of Hexcel Corporation in Graham. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Kum Double Sunday School Class.

Survivors include: sons, Michael Botkin of Wichita Falls, Dennis Botkin and wife, Dolores of Round Rock; daughter, Susan Griffith of Granbury; brothers, Roger McClanahan and wife, Pattie , Bob McClanahan and wife, Rosemary, and Howard McClanahan all of Graham; sister, Billie Jo Mosley and husband, Otis of Austin; sister-in-law, Donna Bell McClanahan of Graham; grandchildren, Michael Botkin, Jr., Mary Jane Lovern and husband, Brent, Leah Stembridge and husband, Christopher, and Stephanie Botkin; great grandchildren, Ashley and Roxanne Lovern and Clayton and Lillie Stembridge; numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by brothers, Leonard, J.W., Durwood, and John McClanahan.

Family visitation will be held Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
