Melba Louise White, age 94, took her final journey home surrounded by her family on March 12, 2021 at Faith Community Hospital in Jacksboro,Tx.

Melba known to her immediate family as MiMi, is best remembered for her quick smile, vibrant personality, and keen sense of style. She loved making the most out of her time and enjoyed many travels, especially South Padre Island soaking up the sun. She cherished her time with family and friends and was always the life of any party. She was a wise business woman and made a name for her herself during her many years at Dallas Federal Savings. Later in life she worked at Boaz Department Store in Graham, Tx and enjoyed being a true fashionista.

Melba was born in Big Spring,Tx on May 7, 1926 to Daucy and Charlie Mae Kinard, both of whom preceded her in death as well as her older sister Meldeen Kinard.

She was the mother of two precious sons, Eric N. White of Abilene, Tx, and DeWayne White, of Jacksboro, Tx. She is survived in death by both sons, DeWayne's wife Teri; her three grandchildren, Annette Huey of Roswell, NM, Eric D. White and his wife Carly, of Jacksboro, Tx, and Michele White of Fort Worth, Tx. Her four great grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Huey of Russellville, AR, and Garrett and Grant White of Jacksboro, TX. She is also survived by many cousins who absolutely adored her. Melba will be truly missed by many family and friends.

A memorial will be planned for a future date by her family. In lieu of sending flowers, please make a donation to the Breast Cancer Society as she was also a breast cancer survivor.
