Melton Floyd Mahaney

Melton Floyd Mahaney, 74, went to be with Jesus on Friday, April 27, 2018. Memorial services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Floyd was born March 10, 1944 in Graham to T.W. and Stella Mahaney. He graduated from Graham High School in 1962 and from East Texas State College in 1968. After college and a brief stay in Wichita Falls, Floyd lived the remainder of his life in Bunger. He retired from the Texas Department of Agriculture. Rattler was a devoted, loving and caring Pawpaw to his grandchildren and was very active in their lives. He liked rodeos, cuttings, bull ridings and a good game of pitch. He enjoyed meeting with his buddies for breakfast and swapping lies.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, T.W. and Stella Mae Cook Mahaney.

Survivors include: son, Jack Mahaney and wife, Lauren; daughter, Shelley Bailey and husband, Blake; grandchildren, Tripp and Reno Mahaney and Gracen and Georgia Bailey.
