Michael Wayne Melton

Michael Wayne Melton, 73, passed away Wednesday June 19, 2024 in Graham, Texas. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024 at True Cemetery in Young County. 

Michael was born September 5, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Dortha Nell (Eldridge) Melton and Bob W. Melton. Upon graduating from high school, he attended the University of Houston and the University of Houston Law Center. He began practicing law in 1976. 

Michael moved to Markley, Texas from Houston, Texas and lived with his parents and brother. He worked at the law firm of Stephens & Myers, LLP in Graham for 30 years. 

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Dortha and Bob Melton, son Michael Wayne Melton, Jr., brother Robert Melton. Survivors include numerous cousins and the office staff of Stephens & Myers, LLP.
