Mildred Marie Duncan, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 29, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Richard Segars of Graham and Reverend René Maciel of Castorville, Texas officiating. Burial will follow at 4:30 p.m. in the Burkburnett Cemetery in Burkburnett. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Mildred was born on February 25, 1916 in Cordell, Oklahoma to the late Emmitt Press and Cornelia Gilbreath Wilson. She married Vernon T. Duncan, June 23, 1935 in Cordell, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on April 10, 1990. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was an extensive world traveler. She enjoyed playing bridge and was in several clubs in Wichita Falls and Burkburnett.
Survivors include: daughters, Gwyn Dunham of Waco and Dixie Creighton and husband, Robert of Graham; brother, Woodrow Wilson of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren, Dianne Dunham Blazo, Sabrina Dunham Maciel, Leah Kristine Creighton, and Laurie Creighton Duncan; great grandchildren, Aimee Losasso, Lesley Glover, Brianna Maciel, Carmen Maciel, Camron Lynn, and Amber Kristine Lynn; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Young County Chapter or Solaris Hospice.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
