Millie Chaney

Millie Chaney, 90, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 in Graham. A Graveside funeral will be held, Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in McAdams Cemetery at Possum Kingdom Lake. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Millie was born August 3, 1921 in Littlerock, Ark. to the late William David and Martha Lucretia (Strawbridge) Shubert. She was a former resident of Amarillo where she worked for Amarillo Bowling Alley as a cook. She moved to Graham in 1981 from Amarillo.

Survivors include; daughters, Ruby Moore and husband Ray of Graham, Martha Truesdell and husband David of Graham; brother, who she raised as a son, Wesley Shubert and wife Kathryn of Graham; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Millie was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverley Logan, a son William Henry West, Jr., two sisters and three brothers.
