Morean Cook

Morean Cook, 99 passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2011 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Morean was born on May 19, 1912 in Briscoe County, Texas to the late T.H. and Dixie (Northcutt) Stevenson. She married Charles E. Cook on January 2, 1930 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1974. Morean worked for Street Investments for over thirty years. She was a member of Eastern Star, CLSC, Desk & Derrick, Red Hats, Hospital Auxiliary, Modern Martha Sunday School Class, and the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: sons, Charles Jerry Cook and wife, Margaret of Little Rock, AR and Donald Floyd Cook of Iowa Park; daughter, JoAnn Crum and husband, Carrol of Graham; brothers, Clay Stevenson and Charles E. Stevenson both of San Angelo; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brothers , H.H. Stevenson, T.E. Stevenson, and Toby Stevenson.

Memorials may be made to the Samaritans at First United Methodist Church in Graham.
