Nancy Sue Ford

Nancy Sue Ford, 86, passed away peacefully Friday, February 21, 2025, at her home in Graham, TX. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.

Nancy was born September 11, 1938, in Fort Worth, TX, to the late Charles Foster and Anna Mae (Massey) Ford. Nancy moved to Graham with her mother in 1953, where she attended Graham High School. After high school, she was married and had three wonderful children. She loved her children with all her heart, and they were the bright spot of her life. Nancy loved many things, especially animals and people. She had the gift of gab, she never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything. Going to Walmart with her for a couple of items could turn into a several hour trip, talking to whomever she came in contact with. For many years, she worked at Graham General Hospital, at Garden Terrace Nursing Home, and as an in-home caregiver. She was very passionate and loving, and she had a gift of caring for people who needed special attention. Nancy loved all animals, and she had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, who she loved like they were her children. This most recently included her two dachshunds, Sophie and Sadie, who will be laid to rest with her. She also loved the outdoors and working in her flower beds.

Nancy is survived by her adoring children, Debbie Driver of Benbrook, TX, Calvin Ratcliff of Graham, TX, Eddie Ratcliff (Brett) of Mineral Wells, TX; her loving grandchildren, Derreck Ratcliff (Preslie) of Abilene, TX, Casey Herrington (Joey) of Benbrook, TX, Caitlin Fitzgerald (Jake) of Decatur, TX, Ryan Taylor of Austin, TX, and Ann Elise Taylor (Maziar) of Austin, TX; three very special great-grandchildren, Jack Herrington, Doak Ratcliff, and Zack Ratcliff; and her nephew, Randy Ford of Arlington, TX. She is also survived by her beloved cat, Spica, who her daughter adopted for her when Sadie passed away.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Glen Ford; niece, Cathy Ann Ford; and son-in-law, Chuck Driver.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Beyond Faith Hospice; Robin Case Breeden of Seniorly Yours; and Peter S. Brown, MD; and Nancy’s in-home caregivers, Becky Downey, Amber Gomez, Priscilla, and Rose. Nancy and her family are grateful for the wonderful, compassionate care these individuals provided her.

A reception will follow the celebration of Nancy’s life. The location to be announced at the service.
