Nancy Jane Sloan

Nancy Jane Sloan,78, resident of Newcastle, Texas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, August 19, 2019.

Nancy was born in Krum, Texas on October 17, 1940 and is the daughter of Robert Lee Harris and Gladys Maud Harris (Davis). Nancy was married to Doyle Rhea Sloan on November 26, 1965. She was a loving mother and grandmother, caring friend and devoted wife to Doyle. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Olney.

She was survived by her sister, Sally Otts and daughter Kristy Stucker of Newcastle; her brother, Dan Harris and daughter Katie Harris of Olney; niece, Marchand Ming; grandson, Rocky Sloan of Nocona, TX; granddaughters, Carrie Sloan Withers and husband Ron of Mineral, VA, Sharry Sloan Putnam and husband Dean of Wylie, TX, Chelsea Sloan and her children of Moore, OK, and Natalie Tarpley and husband John of Gainesville, TX. Her great grand-children, Cathrynn, Abbygale and Sophia Withers; Mercedes and Bella Putnam; Jonathan, Hunter and Ally Sloan, Life Long Friend, Glenda Sullivan and Baby Aiden Reagerand many other loving family members and dear friends.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Gladys Harris; brother, Jack Lee Harris; her husband, Doyle Rhea Sloan; sons, Terry “Sonny” Sloan and Jeffery Doyle Sloan.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Morrison Funeral Home in Graham.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Newcastle Cemetery following the service.
