Nancy Foust Thigpen Stapp

Nancy Foust Thigpen Stapp, 69, passed away Monday, August 24, 2009 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Graham with Reverend James C. Hill, pastor and Reverend Richard Segars officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Nancy was born May 3, 1940 in Slaton, Texas to Reverend Hubert Foust and the late Opal Foust. She graduated from Graham High School in 1958 and college at Hardin Simmons. She married Fred Thigpen, November 20, 1960 in Graham. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2002. Nancy was a member of the First Baptist Church and an elementary school teacher in Graham for many years. She married Chuck Stapp on February 18, 2006. Nancy loved sewing, quilting, traveling, and friends.

Survivors include; husband Chuck Stapp of Graham; daughters, Ashlee Howard and husband Tim of Frisco, Padgett Smith and husband Scott of Graham; father, Hubert Foust of Graham; brother, Joe Foust and wife, Delnita of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Gracie Howard, Payton and Sydney Smith; mother-in-law, DeFayne Thigpen; sister-in-law, Sharon Hays and husband, Johnny of Sutherland Springs.

Memorials may be made to the Class of 1958 Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 87, Graham, Texas 76450.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
