Nell J. Wheat

Nell Wheat, 88, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020.  A Graveside funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 13, 2020 at Red Top Cemetery in Young County.  The Family will be at Morrison Funeral Home Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., you are encouraged and welcome to drive by the South side of the funeral home and greet the family from your automobile.  Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Nell was born December 26, 1931 in Graham to the late Nellie Jewell Blake Damrom and Pascal Campbell Damron.  Nell married Weldon Wheat, September 4, 1949 at Red Top, Texas.  He preceded her in death on January 4, 2008.  Nell was a lifetime resident of Graham and an elementary school teacher for the Graham Independent School District for 27 years.  She was a member of First Baptist Church Graham, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include; daughters, Andrea O'Neill and husband Larry of Lubbock, Pam Rogers and husband Monte of Graham; five grandchildren, Jennifer O'Neill, Stephanie Lee and husband Chip, Jonathan O'Neill and wife Madison, Matt Rogers, and Davis Rogers; two great grandchildren, Amanda and Derek Lee; several nieces and nephews also survive.
