Nellie Gean Pierce

Nellie Gean Pierce, 80, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2011 in Denton. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Jamey Burrus pastor of Cowboy Church Gatherin' officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Nellie was born on August 4, 1930 in Littlefield to the late Eugene Henry and Nellie Mae (Francisco) Dunlap. She married Ted K. Pierce, Jr. on June 30, 1966 in Archer City. Nellie was a member of the Oak Street Baptist Church and a housewife.

Survivors include: husband, Ted K. Pierce, Jr. of Graham; sons, Carl Glenn Johnston and wife, Pam of Grand Prairie and Ricky Wayne Johnston and wife, Nancy of Graham; daughter, Carla Lynn Dorsey of Graham; sister, Lillian Cole of Graham; numerous grand children, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Charlie, and Luther Dunlap.

The family will receive from on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
