Nellie M. Smith, 96, passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 in Graham. Graveside service will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Nellie was born June 4, 1917 in Amarillo to the late J.S. and Minnie (Falkner) Fears. She married Pinkie P. Smith January 8, 1947 in California and he preceded her in death April 28, 1976. Nellie moved to Graham in 1975 from Colorado. She was a longtime employee of Dairy Queen in Graham and a member of Graham Church of God.
Survivors include: son, Fred Brown of Graham; daughters, Loretta Clarke and husband, Jim of Graham and Annah Rash of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren, including Louis and Gene Scarfutti of Graham and Dora Arce; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Earnest Brown, Jr, five sisters and a brother.
Family visitation will be held Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
