Neta Echols

Neta Nell Echols, 94, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 in Azle.  Celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.

Neta was born August 29, 1929 in Greenville to the late William Lewis and Ella Mae (Armstrong) Phillips.  She married William Harvey Echols August 29, 1949 in Jacksboro and he preceded her in death November 25, 2011.  Neta was a devout Christian most of her life and she loved the Lord.

Survivors include: daughters, Gail Miller and husband, Gary of Azle, Connie Denney and husband, David of Bonnieville, Kentucky, and Sandra Means and husband, Mike of Bonnieville, Kentucky; sister, Pat Kendrick of Springfield, Missouri; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Ray Craven, grandchildren, Newt Means and Shemiah Avery, sisters, Opal Youngblood and Veda Fields, and brothers, R.J. and Melvin Phillips.
