Oscar Johnson

Oscar Milburn Johnson, 88, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in Wichita Falls. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Newcastle Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Oscar was born November 26, 1924 in Muleshoe to the late Jacob Herndon and Ida Bell (Odom) Johnson. He married Oretha Mae Burkhart January 14, 1942 in Circle Back. Oscar was a retired service station owner and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include: wife, Oretha Johnson of Newcastle; daughters, Shirley Gale Green and husband, Charles of Midland, Debra Stuteville and husband, Jack of Olney, and Karen Lynne McCarthy and husband, Craig of Wichita Falls; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society- Young County Chapter or Hospice of Wichita Falls.
