Ouida Vieve Turner, 97, of Possum Kingdom Lake, passed away June 22, 2009 in Killeen, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Morrison Funeral Home Chapel with Mrs. Turner's grandson Dr. Ray House of Siloam Springs, Arkansas officiating. Burial will follow at McAdams Cemetery at Possum Kingdom Lake under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home, Graham, Texas.
Mrs. Turner was born December 10, 1911 in Waurika, Oklahoma to the late Otis and Janette (Harrison) Cloninger. She married Raymond M. Turner on July 30, 1932 in Devol, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on May 15, 2008. Mrs. Turner received her degrees in music and nursing and was an accomplished pianist and organist. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors: daughters, Bonnie House and husband Franklin House MD of Fort Davis, TX., Arlene Mitchell and husband Gerald Mitchell MD of Graford, TX., grandchildren, Franklin "Rick" House, JR., Ray House, Rollin House, Cody Turner, Shane Turner, Natalie Moffitt, Alexa Mitchell and Chad Mitchell. Five great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by a son James Milton Turner on October 28, 2002.
Visitation will be Saturday 4 ~ 7 pm at Morrison Funeral Home.
