Pamela Renee Johnson was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 15, 1956 to Cleo Gifford and Doris Nell Spradley Fancher and departed this earthly life on August 26, 2013. She lived in Wichita Falls until she was 17 months old when the family moved to Graham, Texas where she lived with her parents and five older siblings.
She attended Graham Public Schools including Graham High School. She married Johnny D. Johnson who was a senior at the school where she was a freshman. Although young, they fell in love and married one year later on August 13, 1972. They moved to Nacogdoches where Johnny was attending Stephen F. Austin University. She finished high school and attended one year of college there.
They moved from there to Breckenridge, Texas and later to Graham, Texas where they raised their three children - Jacob, Jocelyn Renee and Jennifer Jordan who all live in the DFW area. Pam and Johnny joined their children there when they moved to Irving, Texas in 2008.
Pam is survived by her husband of 41 years Johnny Johnson, her son Jacob and wife Staci, two daughters, Jocelyn Beck and husband Nathan and Jennifer McAdams and husband Aaron, four grandchildren, Hunter and Drew Johnson, Bennett McAdams and Tristyn Beck.
Pam is also survived by four siblings and their spouses, Carolyn and Gene McIntyre of Athens, TX, Mary and Duane Cutter of Oklahoma City, Gary and Laura Fancher of Arlington, TX, Duane and Sandy Fancher of Keller, TX, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as a host of friends and loved ones.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, LaNell McAnear.
Pam lived a life in joyous relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was gifted by the Lord with many talents which she used to bring glory to His wonderful Name, writing and singing many praise and worship songs. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting and tending to her grandchildren. She loved her family with a passion.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 10 AM in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, Texas where she will await the Lord's call on Resurrection Day when we will all be reunited with Him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 31 at 4 PM at the Irving Church of Christ, 210 E. 6th Street, 75060.
