Paul Nichols

Paul Nichols, 76, passed away Friday March 14, 2025 at his home in Weatherford. A Graveside funeral will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 2 p.m. in Red Top Cemetery.

Paul was born on March 22, 1948 in Wilmington Delaware to the late Frances (McLaughlin) Nichols and Lester Patterson Nichols. Paul graduated from State College Area High School in 1966 and from the Pennsylvania State University in 1970 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. He married Linda Tiffin on May 7, 1993 in Marina del Ray, California.

Paul spent his early career working as a DJ at a local AM radio station in State College, Pennsylvania. He moved to Philadelphia where he worked as a DJ at a FM radio station.

He then moved on to television where he worked as a publicist at the Mike Douglas Show (also in Philadelphia) and then moved to California to work for the successor to Mike Douglas; John Davidson.

Paul lived in Marina Del Ray on the water where he had his beloved boat on which he spent every possible hour. He also enjoyed going to the beach and playing tennis.

When he and Linda retired, they moved to Texas to be closer to Linda’s family in Weatherford where they spent many happy years together.

Paul was predeceased by his wife Linda and by his parents and a younger brother Peter. He is survived by his brother Robert and sister-in-law Denise, in addition to nephews Steve and James and niece Caitlin and four great-nieces.

Paul will be remembered for his sharp wit, rather cynical view of life and, along with Linda, his love of animals.
