Peggy June Henley, 89, operator of a family owned Oil Company and a retired public school teacher, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 in Fort Worth. A Graveside service will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Ms. Henley was born September 21, 1928 in Graham to the late Alton B. Henley and Mildred Millwee Henley. She grew up in Graham where she graduated in 1945. After completing Bachelors and Masters degrees in Business Education, she taught high school for 24 years. She was a member of the West Texas Oil and Gas Association, First Methodist Church of Fort Worth and Texas Retired Teachers.
Survivors include; daughter, Connie Maddox of Houston and a grandson, David Henley of Galveston.
Memorials may be made to the Henley-Herron Scholarship Fund at Texas Christian University, Fort Worth.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
