Peggy Reynolds was born on November 28, 1936 to Jack and Parthenia Trimble in Fannin County, Texas. She passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018 at her home in Graham, Texas. She has a long time love waiting for her in Heaven, Cotton Reynolds, her husband of 61 years.
Peggy will never be forgotten because she gave us so much to remember. Peggy taught us that family is everything- you are never alone and it will last long after she’s gone; a smile and a hug matter; a good book is something to treasure, take time to feed the geese; flowers are worth planting and waiting for because they are God’s decorations; the road to Oklahoma leads to fun and sometimes treasures; appreciate what you have and be grateful; dogs will always make you happy- especially Harley and your grandchildren will be the jewels in your crown of life.
Peggy loved Newcastle and remembered many days at the laundry mat with Cotton’s oil field clothes, days at the school for all events, the Ice House, Bailey’s General Store, The Allen’s and Clayborn’s filling stations, all of her friends dating back to Newcastle High School and most of all- The First Baptist Church. Peggy was proud the day her children were baptized there, she held strong to the Word of God she heard there and lived by it during all seasons and she loved to sing in the choir. We know that God is saying: “Well done my good and faithful servant,” and Heaven is a little better with this angel there.
Peggy is survived by her loving children Duke Reynolds and his wife Joni Reynolds of Newcastle, Texas; Joni Rogers and her husband David Rogers of Graham, Texas. Her loving sister, Tewana Caudle of Graham, Texas. She had four grandchildren that she adored: Jake Reynolds, Alexa Rogers, Zac Reynolds and Devin Rogers. She is also survived by the Reynolds' family sisters: Polly Reynolds, Betty Harris and Rita Taylor of Newcastle, Texas; sister-in-law, Billie Reynolds of Graham. Peggy also had numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Newcastle, Texas at 2:00 pm on Monday April 2, 2018. Peggy will be buried beside her loving husband and parents in the Newcastle Cemetery. Peggy’s song on earth has ended, but her melody will linger always.
The family wants to thank the caregivers, Beyond Faith Hospice, and Dr. Aaron Purdy for their love and care and the many friends who sent her cards and visited with her at home that kept her spirits up.
