Phyllis Ethridge

Phyllis Ethridge, 72, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at her home in Graham.  Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.

Phyllis was born March 15, 1951 in Graham to the late Hugh Mack and Lila (Newby) Hibbitts.  She married James Ethridge August 13, 1976 and was a ward clerk at Graham Regional Medical Center.

Phyllis loved being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren. If you knew her, you knew her dogs were more than just dogs to her. She was a lover of all animals. Phyllis held many titles including; Granny, Granny Phyl, Mehaw, and Aunt Phyl. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Survivors include: son, James Ryon Ethridge and Sabrina Nevarez of Graham; sisters, Susie Fulbright and husband, Steve of Jacksboro and Julie Ruddy of Graham; 5 grandchildren Dalton, Bailey, Cataleya, Dovie, Brody, 1 great grandchild Wesley and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, James Ethridge, brother-in-law, Sammy Ruddy, and nephew, Chad Ruddy.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
