Rachel Shurlon Skinner

Rachel Shurlon Skinner, 42, died on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Rachel was born on November 7, 1968 in Graham to Richard O. and Gwen (Roston) Sedberry. She married Walter Lee Skinner on October 22, 2001 in Graham. Rachel was a Nurses Aide and a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Rachel was a breast cancer survivor and enjoyed being active in breast cancer awareness. She participated in several walks for the cure.

Survivors include: husband, Walter L. Skinner of Graham; mother, Gwen Sedberry of Olney; father, Richard Sedberry and RayLasha of Wichita Falls; daughter, Lajuana Long of Graham; sons, Brandon Sedberry, Sr. and wife, Theresa of Graham, Markel Long and wife, Debbie of Olney; sisters, Carla Robinson and husband, Columbus of Dallas and Dominique Haddock of Wichita Falls; brothers, Orinthus Haddock of Wichita Falls, Michael Haddock of Wichita Falls, and Jason Perry of Wichita Falls; 2 grandchildren, Amaya Long and Brandon Sedberry, Jr; several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Young County Chapter.
