R.C. Chambers, 88, went to be with his heavenly father on Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
R.C. was born on September 3, 1923 in Graham to the late F.L. and Faye (Barnes) Chambers. He married Helen Vonita Harton on February 29, 1944 in Graham. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Force serving in World War II and he retired from Dowell and Graham Acidizing as a salesman and truck driver. R.C. was a 50 year member of the Young County Lodge #485, Maskat Shirne Temple in Wichita Falls, and a 32° Scottish Rite Mason.
Survivors include: wife, Helen Chambers of Graham; daughters, Sandy Wiley and husband Jim of Graham and Becky Chandler of Irving; sister, Elwanda Baker of Azle; nieces, Janie and Linda of Azle; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Young County Home Health or Solaris Hospice.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
