Richard Wayne Loyd, 74, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Stephens County. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Oak Street Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Wayne was born on March 28, 1938 in Driscoll, Texas to the late Walter Cleveland and Mary Lydia (Wedgeworth) Loyd. He married Judy Swilling on April 19, 1963 in Mineral Wells. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Artex Landscape in Arlington for 28 years. He was a member of Westlake Chapel at Possum Kingdom Lake.
Survivors include: wife, Judy Loyd of Graham; daughter, Jamie McMullen and husband, David of Watauga; son, Jerry Loyd and wife, Susan of Keller; grandchildren, Ashley McMullen of Conway, SC, Chance McMullen of Keller, Kris Loyd of Keller, and Presley Jorgensen of Keller; brothers, Ray Lamoyne Loyd of Kamay and Wes Loyd of Georgetown; sister, Oleta Bogard of Kansas City, Kansas.
