Richard Allen McKenna

Richard Allen McKenna, Jr., 66, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Wichita Falls.  Before his passing he had been very sick, had many strokes and complications.  Funeral services will be Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Richard was born August 22, 1952 in Denison.  He was the only child of Richard and Bessie (Crabtree) McKenna.  Richard lived in Spokane, Washington until 1988, he moved back to Graham to live with his parents.  Richard and Yevette had been married 15 years before his passing.  Richard had met Yevette in Graham in 2000.  Richard and Yevette were friends until December of 2002, a marriage that was made in heaven, December 31, 2002 Richard and Yevette asked the Lord up above if they were to be together forever.  Without each other’s knowledge they both saw the same falling star on the same night at the same time.  A sign from up above.  Richard asked Yevette for her hand in marriage on January 24, 2003.  Richard and Yevette McKenna were secretly married by the justice of the peace on March 10, 2003.  Then on August 16, 2003 they were publicly married.  Richard wanted his wife to have a true wedding and have all his family and friends around.  The Lord has blessed this marriage on that day and all the days to come.  This marriage was truly made from heaven and the couple were always happy and getting along.  They never had fights or arguments, they loved each other so very much.  Richard spent 12 years in the United States Air Force and went to Ranger College for 2 years.  Got a job in 1995 with GMI, worked there for about 16 years until his fourth stroke then he was retired.  He and his wife worked for Karen Choate for 7 years doing janitorial.  No matter where life took them in the last 7 years of Richard’s life his wife Yevette was always by his side and by his side to his last breathe.
