Rufus Rogers

Rufus "Snooky" Rogers, 67, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Veal Creek Cemetery in Stephens County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Snooky was born September 6, 1947 in Bowie to the late Gladys Irene (Gunn) and Rufus Eugene Rogers, Sr. He was a longtime resident of Young County and spent most of his life working in the oilfield. Snooky was owner of Champion 8 Oil Company.

Survivors include: daughters, Julie Kay Bohannan and David Clifton of Graham and Lori Ann Washburn and husband, Zack of Graham; sister, Louise Burgess and husband, Pete of Graham; brother, Johnny Rogers of Graham; grandchildren, Trinity Bohannan, Billy Bohannan, Ara Washburn, and Sterling Washburn, 8 nephews and 7 nieces.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Eula Mae Miller and Betty Sue Foster and brother, Bill Rogers.
