Ruth Green Jackson, 78, of Farmer, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 in Graham. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Farmer Cemetery with Don Wickham of Electra officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.
Ruth was born April 9, 1933 in Farmer to the late William Harvey and Georgia Blanche (Loyd) Green. She married Jerry Thomas Jackson October 15, 1949. He preceded her in death in 1962. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Farmer and a member of the Jean Baptist Church. She retired from GMI after 23 years of service in the certification department.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Grady Green and F.H. "Stub" Green and a nephew, William Lee Green.
Survivors include: daughter, Pam Smith and husband, Kenneth of Farmer; son, Jerry Jackson and wife, Jeanie of Mission Hills, California; 3 grandsons, 2 great-grandsons, and 2 nephews.
