Ruth Ann (Spanyers) Mayo Lee, 57, of Graham formerly of Dorchester, NE, passed away suddenly in her home, February 12, 2015. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the V.F.W. in Graham from 11:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will begin at 12:00 and all friends are welcome to share in songs, poems and stories of Ruth's life. Ruth was born February 21, 1957 in Lincoln, NE. She attended grade school in Waverly, NE, until she relocated to Dorchester, when her mom married Harold Krivohlavek in 1968. Growing up, she was involved in 4-H, Methodist Youth Fellowship and Junior Auxiliary. In high school, her activities included cheerleading, band, vocal music, including swing choir. She was a member of the Dorchester Methodist Church. After graduating high school in 1975, she attended Joseph's College of Beauty in Lincoln. After graduation, she worked at several salons. During a trip to California with her parents she met Eddie Mayo. They were married July 23, 1982 and resided in Graham. In 1991, she married Andy Lee. To that union, a son, Joshua Andrew Lee, was born. She was involved in the oil well business and worked at Lee Geophysical in the area. At the time of her death, her passion was network marketing, where she acquired a host of new friends and business partners. Her favorite past time was spending time with Josh and his friends. She loved cooking for Josh and his friends, watching movies with them and just hanging out. She also enjoyed taking trips with Josh, including many trips to Dorchester to visit her family. When she was unable to travel to Dorchester for the holidays, she loved cooking holiday meals for friends and inviting them over to her house to eat.
Ruth is survived by son, Josh Lee and girlfriend, Amber of New Braunfels; parents, Virginia and Harold Krivohlavek of Dorchester, NE; sister, Sue Shaw and husband, Tom and family of Bartlett, NE; brother, Keith Spanyers and family of Dorchester, NE; brother, Kenny Spanyers of Oakley, KS; sister, Karen Wiles and husband, Scott and family of Lincoln, NE; boyfriend, Don Johnson of Fort Worth; best friend, Bo Mahler; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Spanyers.
