Ruthel Orr

Ruthel Orr, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Cleburne. Funeral will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Morrison Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery in under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Ruthel was born August 31, 1925 in Olney to the late Samuel Fletcher and Denie Mae (Nickelson) Smith. She married Billy Orr, May 28, 1945 in Yuma, AZ. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1974. Ruthel was a homemaker, mother, greatly loved grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church Graham.

Survivors include; daughters, Barbara Lane and husband Joe of Cleburne, Paula Upchurch and husband Allen of Graham, Susan Gray and husband Mike of Katy; son, Steven Orr and wife Deanna of Graham; grandchildren, Jason, Sam, and Timothy Lane, Mellissa Fuentes, Brian Upchurch, Stephen and Justin Gray, Cory Hagar and Amber Brown; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Roberts of Olney.

Ruthel was preceded in death by grandson, Brandon Orr, sister, Pauline Earle, brother, Raymond Smith and great granddaughter, Whitney Lane.

Family Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
