Sammie Joe Long

Sammie Joe Long, 72, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Graham.  The celebration of life will be at Bunger Barn at 12 p.m. with meal following at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023.

Sam was born April 26, 1951 in Plainview to the late Joe Aurther and Ann Hartman.  He was an equipment operator and loved spending time with family, hunting, and fishing.

Survivors include: wife, LaJuanna Atkinson of Graham; daughters, Amy Hernandez of Lockney and Brandy Dobbs of Graham; sons, Sam Long of Lorenzo, Kenny Long of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Jerry Long of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and Ronnie Dobbs of Graham; brother, Johnnie Long of Breckenridge; sister, Carol Ann Ramsey of Amarillo, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his step mother, Elsie Long, step father, Ed Hartman, and a sister, Donna Adams.
