Sandra Kay Smith

Sandra Kay Smith of Denton, Texas passed away April 29th, 2013 peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 1st, 2013 at 10 am in Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, Texas under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Sandra was born on January 28, 1964 in Kermit Texas to Gene and Norma Kay Smith.
She attended Humble Smith School in Snyder, Texas and was active in the Texas Special Olympics, the Denton Bell Band and Oak Street Baptist Church. She worked for a number of years for Presco Manufacturing and for Goodwill Industries where she was awarded employee of the year.

She is survived by her guardians, Don and Ramona Davis of Denton, Texas; Aunts, Rose Wilton and husband Frank, Gail George and husband Bill, Sue Gilmore and husband Darrell all of Graham and, Jeanette Hardway and Mary Hardway of Zona West Virginia, Uncles Roger Smith, of Michigan, Ron Smith of Florida, Don Smith of Kentucky, Tom Smith of West Virginia and Dannie Smith of Spencer, West Virginia and a host of family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gene and Norma McCawley Smith of Spencer WV; maternal grandparents, Ellis and Fern McCawley of Graham; and paternal grandparents Bert and Dessie Smith of Zona, WV.

Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, Denton Bell Band or Texas Special Olympics.
