Sandy Kennedy

Claude Andrew "Sandy" Kennedy, Jr. 72, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bee Branch Cemetery in Stephens County under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Sandy was born May 18, 1941 in Tarrant County to the late Claude A. and Zona Marie (Ehlert) Kennedy. He married Olida Frye September 12, 1997 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sandy was a longtime resident of Ivan, Texas. He was a rancher, building contractor, and former correctional officer.

Survivors include: wife, Olida Kennedy of Graham; daughters, Jazton Kennedy of Grapevine, Debbie Kennedy of Seymour, January Cohen of Graham, and Alicia Smith of Abilene; sons, Joseph K Kennedy of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Burke Kennedy of Mineral Wells, and Wesley Shubert, III of Newcastle; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Louise Frye of Ranger; also surviving are several cousins.

Family visitation will be held Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
