Sarah Cardenas

Severiana "Sarah" Cardenas, 83, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Sarah was born February 21, 1929 in Personville, Texas to the late Severo and Maria (Cano) Solis. She married Jesus Cardenas and he preceded her in death in 1975. Sarah was a housekeeper and a longtime resident of Graham.

Survivors include: daughters, Kelly Cardenas and Luis Baeza of Graham, Delia Cardenas of Graham, Andrea Baeza and husband Ruben of Graham, and Debi Cardenas and partner, Eva Diaz of Wichita Falls; sons, Jesse Cardenas, Jr. and wife, Lucy of Oklahoma and Ernest Cardenas and wife, Tammy of Abilene; sister, Lupe Moore of Seguin; brother, Juan Solis of San Antonio; 14 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Sally Gauna and son, Jimmy Cardenas, Sr.

Family visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
