Thomas Jasper "Jack" Nunley

Thomas Jasper "Jack" Nunley, 81, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Graham. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Jack was born on January 16, 1928 in Jermyn to the late George Fredrick and Mary Lovis (Dunlap) Nunley. He married Ethel Louise Howard on April 19, 1947 in Breckenridge. Jack attended Texas Christian University and received his bachelor degree in Geology. He was an Independent Oil & Gas Producer and Operator and a member of American Association of Petroleum Landman.

Survivors include: wife, Ethel Nunley of Graham; daughter, Vivian Ann Nunley and husband, Lawrence Clearfield of Graham; sons, Thomas J. Nunley, Jr. and wife, Sharon and Russell H. Nunley and wife, Daphne all of Graham; sisters, Marie Mayo and Sue Brannies and husband, Warren all of Graham; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard D. Nunley, brother, Noel Nunley, and brother-in-law, Wayne Mayo.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
