Tonna Kay Gillespie Hodges

Tonna Kay Gillespie Hodges, 46, passed away at her home Sunday, December 31, 2017. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Tonna was born February 23, 1971 in Norton, Kansas to Floyd Melvin and Erma Lee (Walker) Gillespie. Tonna grew up on a farm in Kansas where she developed a love for animals and the outdoors. She moved to Newcastle in 1982 and attended school in Newcastle. She was a former administrative assistant for a plumbing company in Graham.

Survivors include; parents, Floyd and Erma Gillespie of Newcastle; daughter, Audrey Lane Hamelin and husband Atlee of Graham; grandchild, Lincoln Wyatt Hamelin; sister, Tyra Subasavage and husband Rick of Charlotte, NC; brothers, James Carter and wife Peggy of Graham, Corey Gillespie and wife Nora of Liberal, KS, and George Gillespie of Newcastle.

Tonna was preceded in death by her special dog Chevy.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
