Valentin Monroy

Valentin Monroy, 78, passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 in Graham.  Rosary will be held Monday, August 1, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Valentin was born February 14, 1938 in La Pechuga Hidalgo, Mexico to the late Prospero and Teresa (Gonzalez) Monroy.  He worked in road construction and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. 

Survivors include: daughters, Maria Trejo and husband Hector Trejo of Graham, Elia Ruiz and husband  Macedonio Ruiz of Dallas, Ernestina Fuentes and husband Lazaro Fuentes of Graham, Crescencia Monroy of Dallas, and Lucero Monroy and husband Gabriel Ortiz; sons, Telesforo Monroy of Dallas, Paulino Monroy of Dallas, Abel Monroy and wife Nayeli Almazan of Wichita Falls and Denis Monroy and wife Sol Cerecerez of Graham; sister, Agustina Monroy of Monterrey, Mexico; brothers, Ernesto Monroy, Mario Monroy, and Gregorio Monroy of Mexico; grandchildren, David Trejo and wife, Daniel Trejo, Elizabeth Trejo, Alma Denise Monroy, Christopher Monroy, Bridget Lian Monroy, Miguel Angel Monroy and wife, Alexis Ruiz, Yesenia Monroy and husband, Gerardo Monroy, Alan J. Monroy, Johan J. Monroy, Clarissa Y. Fuentes, Luis A. Fuentes, Brissa Y. Fuentes, Ivan U. Monroy, Natalye Chavez, Caren Chavez, Sophie Monroy, Roselyn Ortiz, and Liliana Ortiz; great granddaughter, Adalyn April Monroy.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Sostenes Monroy, Carlos Monroy, and Carmelo Monroy and his daughter, Amalia Monroy.
