Veldie Ainsworth, 89, passed away at his home in Bryson Saturday, May 4, 2019. A memorial service will be Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Bryson.
Veldie was born June 16, 1929 in Bryson, Texas to the late Ubern and Maggie (Lowe) Ainsworth. He married Evon Bowen, July 9, 1951 in Eunice, NM. Veldie was a lifetime resident of Bryson and a self-employed oilfield pumper. He was a member of Graham Promenade Square Dance Club for 25 years and a member of First Baptist Church Bryson.
Survivors include; Wife, Evon Ainsworth of Bryson; sons, Kim Ainsworth and wife Peggy of Bryson, and Michael Ainsworth and Domingo Castillo of Dallas; daughter Linda King and husband Dennis of Bryson; grandchildren, Robert Boyle and wife Jeleta of Montrose, CO., Richard Boyle and wife Amy of Graham, Nicholas Ainsworth of Dallas, Lindsay Michaels of McKinney, April Dyer of McKinney, Amber Blevins of McKinney, Daughter-in-law Sally Cole of Denton; great grandchildren, Paydon, Payge, Courtney, and Katie Boyle, Brady and Kennedy Michaels, Madison and Jordan Dyer; great great grandchild, Coppar Ray Walls; brothers, Orlin Ainsworth and wife Lorene of Bryson, Benjie Ainsworth and wife Donna of Graham; nephews, Keith Bowen and wife Anna of Bakersfield, CA. Dean Bowen of Bakersfield, CA.
Veldie was preceded in death by brothers and their wives, Winfred and wife Margaret Ainsworth, Wordie and wife Lou Ainsworth, and Louie Lud and wife Lois Ainsworth, and a niece Brenda Joyce Sutton.
The family requested that memorials be made to Bryson First Baptist Church P.O. Box 280, Bryson, Texas 76427.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home.
