Verneda L. Hearne

Verneda L. Hearne, 71, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2011 in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church with Raymond Brooks and Richard Segars officiating. Burial will follow in Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Verneda was born on August 20, 1939 in Stamford to the late Elmer Lee and Edna Hugh (Moore) Boyd. She married Charles Hearne on August 17, 1979 in Graham. Verneda was a member of the Loving Highway Church of Christ. She was a former retail sales clerk for Winn's Variety Store and a resident of Graham since 1951.

Survivors include: husband, Charles Hearne of Graham; sons, Robert Hearne of Henrietta and Michael Hearne of Graham; daughter, Cathi Layfield of Frisco; two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Boyd.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
