Virginia Lee Keyser Thedford

Virginia Lee Keyser Thedford, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011 in Early. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Morrison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Virginia was born on September 26, 1914 in Bryson to Lee and Hila Keyser. She married W.L. "Bub" Thedford on November 13, 1932 in Altus, Oklahoma. They were married almost 65 years. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1997. She was a longtime member of Eastside Church of Christ of Graham and for the past eight years a member of the Early Church of Christ in Early, Texas.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Bill and Ramona Thedford of Early, Texas, her daughter and her husband, Sue and Dick Higginbotham of Tyler, Texas and grandchildren, Rick Higginbotham and wife, Lana, Lisa Higginbotham Ace and husband, Mike, Steve Higginbotham and wife, Stacy, Julie Higginbotham Cunningham, Clay Thedford and wife, Dory, Matthew Thedford, Tracy Thedford Allen and husband, Barrett; great grandchildren, Scott Higginbotham, Amy Higginbotham Lund and husband, Ari, Jake and Madison Higginbotham, Ashlyn and Meredith Ace, Cheroka Higginbotham Roberts and husband, Brent, Colton and Keaton Cunningham, Cade and Dani Lee Thedford, Darren and Angie Lee Allen and two great great grandsons, Zev and Tahl Lund, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John Keyser and Kenneth Keyser and sister, Kate Newsom.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
