Vivian I. Montfort

Vivian I. Montfort, 87, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at her home in Graham. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Vivian was born July 9, 1924 in Ellis County, Texas to the late Charles E. and Ruby P. (Mounse) Shackelford. She married Clyde T. Montfort July 18, 1942 in Ennis, Texas. He preceded her in death on January 8, 1978. Vivian moved to Graham in 1951 from Montfort, Texas. She was a former employee of Texas Securities and a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include; daughter, Diane Perritt of Graham; son, Gary Montfort of Graham; sister, Sandra Tobias of Ennis; six grandchildren, Gregory Perritt, Darren Montfort, Misty Grisham, Michael Montfort, Lisa Montfort, Cheryl Adams; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Vivian was preceded in death by a son Mike Montfort in 2004 and two brothers, Donald and Ronald Shackelford.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
