Wanda was born November 17, 1934 in the Murray Community of Young County, Texas to parents Pearl Edward Mueller and Aliff Odell Webb Mueller. Wanda grew up in Murray, Texas. She attended schools in Murray, Texas and Graham, Texas. She was a housewife and raised 2 children. While doing that, she worked on the farm carrying food to the family and workers each and every day during harvest. She drove grain trucks and hauled hay bales to their destination wherever that might be. She helped with the ranching whether it be working cattle, feeding or moving cattle from one place to another. She planted a huge garden and helped her mother with her garden every year. They canned everything that came out of the garden. Wanda loved taking care of her yard at the home on Calaveras St here in Graham. She was very particular about it and worked hard to keep it looking nice. Wanda was an active member of the Murray Volunteer Rural Fire Department. She helped every year with their annual fund raising BBQ by selling raffle tickets for whatever they had to give away, cleaning the fire station, cooking and whatever else was needed.
For fun, entertainment and fellowship, Wanda got together with many and bowled at Steers Bowl.
She was secretary for two separate leagues. One of the teams she was on made it to the state competition bracket. Wanda was a Girl Scout Leader for several years. Along with all of the above, she managed to sew for the public and made all of her children's clothes along with other family members'. She managed all the farm and ranching business as well. Wanda became a member of the Murray Baptist Church when she was 11 years old. Wanda was valedictorian of her Graham High School Senior Class of 1953. They recently had their 60th year class reunion. Wanda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Wanda was a hard worker and most of her work was done behind the scenes.
