Wayne Howard

Wayne Howard, 74, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in First Baptist Church in Bryson with Rev. Gary Richardson of Rock Creek Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Cottonwood Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Wayne was born on February 26, 1937 in Graham to the late Carl and Bessie (Ainsworth) Howard. He married Clara Morgan on October 19, 1979 in Durant, Oklahoma. Wayne was a union pipefitter and he moved to Mineral Wells in 2006 from Del City, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: wife, Clara Howard of Mineral Wells; daughter, Carolyn Soukup of Wilson, Kansas; sons, Michael Howard of Mineral Wells, Ken Howard of Mineral Wells, Craig Howard of Mineral Wells, Tom Correll of Bryson, Clint Correll of Graham, and Craig Correll of Haslett; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Vallejos and a great granddaughter, Morgan Howard.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Bryson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
