Willard O. Smith

Willard O. Smith, 93, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Faith Center Assembly of God with Pastor Ladd Johnston officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

W.O. was born on November 11, 1915 in Young County, Texas to the late Albert Smith and Ruth (Casburn) Smith. He married Aline Shahan March 17, 1940 in Graham. W.O. was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WW I.I He was a finish carpenter for many years and retired from Hexcel Corp. He was a member of the Faith Center Assembly of God.

Survivors include: son, W.K. Smith and wife, Vickye of Graham; grandchildren, Jason Smith and wife, Michelle, Amy Moore and husband, Gary, Karen Smith and husband Chuck Noles all of Graham; great grandchildren, Vanessa Montano and husband, Eric of Grand Prairie, Justin Smith, Dustin Smith, Brittany Smith, Katie Noles, Rowdy Moore, Tommy Moore, Toby Moore, Ashley Moore, and Jennifer Moore all of Graham; great great grandchildren, Dominick, Zander, and Hunter and beloved family pet, Spunky.

He was preceded in death by wife of 68 years, Aline Smith, daughters, Sherry Lynn and Carol June Smith, parents, Albert O. and Ruth Smith, brothers, Leon, Howell, Casburn, and Cleburne Smith, and sisters, Nina Chestnut and Alma Crow.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
