Willie Roy Barron

Willie Roy Barron, 81, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at his home in Graham. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Gooseneck Cemetery with Gary Tull of Graham officiating.

Willie was born July 20, 1928 in Graham, Texas to the late D.E. and Ora Lee Smith Barron. He served twenty years in the United States Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. He married Irene Galbreath in 1946, She preceded him in death in 1989. Willie also worked at General Dynamics in Fort Worth for over 23 years retiring as a Fire Chief. He married Mary Mahaney Burgess, September 23, 1989 in Azle, Texas. They moved to Graham in 2001 from Fort Worth. Willie was a member of River Oaks Masonic Lodge #1311 in Fort Worth, a member of Eastern Star, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Graham.

Survivors include; wife, Mary Barron of Graham; son, Roy Earl Barron and wife Mary of Lebanon, Indiana; daughter, Patricia Oestreich and husband Ralph of Lampasas; grandchildren, Reece Oestreich and wife Beth, Rustin Oestreich and wife Blaine, and Lee Barron; five great grandchildren, Taylor, Riley, Radley, and Bayley Oestreich, Faith Barron; three stepdaughters, Linda Kay Anderson, Nancy Campbell, and Vicki Hanna and husband Alan; stepson, Richard Wayne Burgess and wife Louise; brother-in-law, Earl Mahaney; six step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
