Winnie Valarie Pugh

Winnie Valarie Pugh, 106, died Friday, February 27, 2009 in Graham. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Morrison Funeral Chapel with Mike Lisle and Mark Lisle officiating. Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Home.

Winnie was born November 29, 1902 in Young County, Texas to the late Thomas Lafette and Mildred Alice Bunger Lisle. She married Alex Porter Pugh, September 16, 1923 in Palo Pinto, County. He preceded her in death on November 11, 1984. Winnie was a lifetime resident of Young County and a member of the Church of Christ in Bunger.

Survivors include; daughter, Edwyna Bagwell and husband J.A. of Poncha Springs, CO.; three grandchildren, Mary Lynn Stillings and husband Glen, Karen Bagwell, and Barbara Bagwell; great granddaughter, Carol Beth Stillings; son-in-law, Cecil Williams of Graham; numerous nieces and nephews.

Winnie was preceded in death by a daughter, Hallie Wanda Williams.
